The Lighthouse for the Blind in New Orleans became IMC’s customer in March of 1999.  Our exposure to this outstanding group began on that date.  It was a late start for IMC as The Lighthouse was founded in 1915.  Its purpose at that time was to provide jobs for the blind and visually impaired.  Today, the vision of The Lighthouse has been expanded to serve the blind and visually impaired of the region by providing job training, competitive employment, and  services.  The Lighthouse is continuing to expand its reach in providing services to a greater number of persons.  In 2004, The Lighthouse served over 3,000 clients.  The services included Technology Training, Braille Training, After School Programs, etc.  Learn more at www.lhb.org.
